Week #61 - 每天是一样的 (It's the same every day)

This week we had a lot of meetings. We had a zone conference this week with Elder and Sister McConkie. It was amazing. He taught us about speaking the language of the spirit when we seek revelation. We also focused on our purpose as missionaries and how to fulfill it. He is a powerful speaker and teacher. He told some cool stories from his mission in Czechoslovakia and when he was mission president there. He really helped me to realize the power and authority of my calling as a missionary for Jesus Christ.

Another cool thing is one of our friends 杨Yang Dixiong came to church this Sunday. We had completely lost contact with him and feared he either blocked us or didn't pay his phone bill. We hadn't seen him for a couple weeks but then he showed up to church and brought another one of his friends with him. We also did some service this week at a place called Hurst Ranch. They have a little fall festival over there and me and my companion ended up running a little booth teaching people how to make butter. After a couple hours I now feel like a butter expert.

Scripture of the Week: 3 Nephi 9:14
Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will acome unto me ye shall have beternal life. Behold, mine carm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.
I love this scripture. If we come unto Jesus Christ we will have more joy in this life and the life to come. If we don't know Christ now, what makes you think we will know him in the life to come? He always has his arm reached out to us, we just need to have the faith to turn to him.

How do you turn to him? By keeping his commandments and using his Atonement. I know he will change us and we can become "new creatures in Christ". Just keep doing the simple things everyday like sincere prayer and scripture study. I promise if you do you will grow closer to our Father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ.
