Week #83 - The Wrong Li but the right Li

This week was great. On Wednesday we had to take our car into the shop because someone broke the mirror while we were at a members house. This put us back on bikes. The only problem is that we had a lesson planned across the other side of some hills. The fastest way to the lesson was to cut through canyon up through the mountain bike trails, so that is exactly what we did. Keep in mind we are riding street bikes with no shocks. I am not going to lie, it was a fun time. What made it even more entertaining was all the mountain bikers flying past us on their 3,000 dollar electric mountain bike hybrids. They were all so confused why there were two missionaries up in the mountains on bikes. By the time we got to the lesson we were sweaty, exhausted and covered in dirt and 45 minutes late, but we taught the lesson and it went well.

On Saturday while on an exchange with Elder Thompson, we found a cool young couple who just moved to America from Henan, China. We knocked on their house looking for a previously taught Mrs. Li, and instead found a new Mrs. Li and her husband Mr. Wang. They were cool and came to the baptism the next day.

Yesterday our friend Daniel was baptized. His family are members of the Church but he wasn't able to get baptized in China. He and his Mom have been living in China while his Dad and sister have been in America. They finally were able to save up enough money for the whole family to come to America. Since then we have been teaching Daniel.

Scripture of the Week:
Jacob 4:10
Wherefore, brethren, seek not to acounsel the Lord, but to take counsel from his hand. For behold, ye yourselves know that he counseleth in bwisdom, and in justice, and in great mercy, over all his works.
I know that when we humble ourselves and take Council from the Lord he can help us reach our personal potential.

Have a good week
