Elder Kaden Rees

  大家好， On Saturday I got news I will be moving to Pasadena. My new companion will be Elder Stewart, and I will be his last companion because this is his last transfer before he goes home. The pasadena area covers east Los Angeles, LA chinatown, Glendale, pasadena, and Monterey Park. I am excited to go to Monterey Park because it is the most Chinese dense city in the United States. It will be a great opportunity to grow as a missionary and hopefully my Chinese improves a lot. I am sad to leave my area in Hacienda Heights because we have a lot of friends who have started to progess. Lucy will be baptized on March 12, and the Sun Family (haoliang, si, Evin, and vanessa) will be baptized sometime in March.   你们好啊, This week flew by! We did a lot of tracking and made some new friends. We also had a cool experience with our new friends Lucy Lu. She showed up to church for the first time on Sunday but we didn't know how to keep contact with her because she just moved here from China and does not have a phone number. Later in the day we felt we should visit our friend sister Guo. When we went to her house Lucy was at the door! She lives in the same house as sister Guo! Now we have Lucy and her family who we will be meeting with us and I know it is a miracle that we felt inspired to visit sister guo.   你们好啊！ This week we were able to find a lot of new people to teach but sadly we had to stop teaching some people who were not progressing. Our friend Pauline is getting baptized the 19th of February and our friend Brother Zhuo is getting baptized on the 25th. We are excited for both of them but things start going crazy once someone commits to baptism. One thing I learned this week is there is one main thing that separates those who are converted, and those who are not. The answer is putting God first. There are plenty of nice people I know who like church and believe the gospel but do not have the willpower to act. This is because they are to busy prioritizing other things in their life. In 3 Nephi 13:33 the Savior says "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you."
