Week #25 - Priorities

 你们好啊!

This week we were able to find a lot of new people to teach but sadly we had to stop teaching some people who were not progressing. Our friend Pauline is getting baptized the 19th of February and our friend Brother Zhuo is getting baptized on the 25th. We are excited for both of them but things start going crazy once someone commits to baptism.

One thing I learned this week is there is one main thing that separates those who are converted, and those who are not. The answer is putting God first. There are plenty of nice people I know who like church and believe the gospel but do not have the willpower to act. This is because they are to busy prioritizing other things in their life. In 3 Nephi 13:33 the Savior says "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." This is so true because when we first seek God, he gives us strength and knowledge to help us throughout our day. The question then is how do we seek God? The answer is daily scripture study. Heavenly Father has already given us scriptures to answer our questions. Elder Robert D Hales said "For when we want to speak to God, we pray. And when we want Him to speak to us, we search the scriptures; for His words are spoken through His prophets." I know this is true because I have seen it work in my life.

I challenge all of you to read from the scriptures EVERY day. Even if it's just a verse. I promise it will make a difference.

再见,
李长老
