Week #57 - 我回来了!(I am back!)

This last week was transfers. I knew I might be leaving Pasadena because I had been there for 7 months so I made this last week count. The day before transfers we visited our recent convert Jane Zheng and she made us some awesome baozi and these cool chinese donuts. It was really good.  On Wednesday we got the transfer news and I learned I would be going back to Hacienda Heights to whitewash and train. It was sad to leave the Pasadena zone and the branch over there. I just finished training Elder Lyu so I was not expecting to go back to back but here we are. My new companion is Elder Kemp. He is from South Jordan Utah and he was in a Chinese immersion program growing up. He can already write and read Chinese and knows a lot of words. He is excited to get to work and this area has a lot of potential so I think this is going to be a very fun transfer. The ward that we serve in now has 9 Chinese missionaries serving in it at the same time! 6 elders and 3 sisters. It is kind of crazy b...

Week #56 - Transfer Week

The transfer is this Friday. I gave brother Tong the gift of the Holy Ghost on Sunday in Chinese for the first time. I have been in Pasadena for 5 transfers so I'm probably leaving. I have learned a lot serving here and met some awesome people. We will see what happens. Scripture of the Week: Alma 48:25 Yea, they could not bear that their brethren should rejoice over the blood of the Nephites, so long as there were any who should keep the commandments of God, for the promise of the Lord was, if they should keep his commandments they should  a prosper  in the land.
