Week #18 Into the Fold
你们好,
This week has been full of miracles! On Sunday our friends sister zheng and brother Liu were baptized. They were prepared and excited to have a remission of sins and recieve the Holy Ghost. They are excited to get a temple recommend soon and Brother Liu will get the Aaronic priesthood next week!
Last Sunday during ward council me and Elder Ferguson saw a man walking and wandering through the halls in the church so we left early to go talk with him. He said he had never been to our church before, but felt a strong power pulling him there and he thought God wanted him to be there so he showed up. We gave him a chapel tour and then he attended sacrament meeting that afternoon. We gave him a Book of Mormon and invited him to read the introduction and he told us he would. A couple days later he messaged us saying he has had hardly slept the last couple days because the words in the introduction of the Book of Mormon have been on his mind. On Saturday we were able to take him and his family to the temple to watch a local Chinese symphony sponsored by the church. The symphony was great and we really felt the Holy Ghost when they played "The Spirit of God". The next day he came to church and told us he wanted to be baptized! He and his family are awesome and I look forward to helping them learn more about the gospel.
I am learning a lot of new Chinese and have seen progress, but it is still hard to understand native speakers. I have been able to eat a lot of good authentic Chinese food, but I am still not a fan of pig nose and chicken feet.
Scripture of the Week: Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to aseparate us from the blove of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
That is all for this week,
再见
